Nate’s Place counteracts the mental health challenges our youth face, promoting long-term health and recovery by providing cost-free, evidence-based behavioral health services and transportation for Ventura County’s most vulnerable and at-risk youth.
Nate’s Place is the only organization in Ventura County that addresses a critical gap in mental health and SUD treatment access through our innovative combination of services that help youth fight back.
Our drop-in center for teens and transitional adults is the only one in our area that provides free transportation to and from our facility.
Every week we receive inquiries and referrals from probation officers, therapists, psychiatrists, schools, and child protective workers, underscoring the critical need of our community.
We are at capacity and we need your support to expand our reach.

The Recovery Recipe is working. 94% of participants reported improved overall mental health since attending and 95% reported improvement in reducing use of substances since attending.
Nate had overcome addiction as a young teen and was in recovery with the help of treatment and a peer recovery coach.
He went on to play football in high school earning MVP on defense. Afterward, Nate studied Addiction Studies at Oxnard College and became a Certified Fitness Trainer at Gold's Gym.
More than anything though, Nate was a most empathetic, compassionate individual.
Nate constantly checked in on people who were struggling with mental health or substance use issues.
He told them to Never Give Up and that they were loved…
In honor of Nate’s life, we encourage you to join our efforts to support our youth in overcoming mental health challenges and SUDs. We are at a critical time in our nonprofit’s growth. In order to meet the extensive need in our community, we must secure additional financial support. Hundreds of young lives depend on it.
Nate’s story isn’t over. Let’s continue it together.
“Our son is loving your program so much! We are starting to see the old him come back to us. He looks forward to going there every day, and told me he doesn't have time to have "bad thoughts" because he is staying so busy and active with you guys. Thank you! You are helping so many people and I just wanted you to know the positive impact you are having. I hope you don't mind me saying that your son Nate's legacy is living on, through each and every person you are helping. I'm eternally grateful for Nate and you guys.”
